The Office of Information Technology is governed by Broward County in Florida. The office is an internal service agency that manages customer advocacy and information technology security and strategic planning divisions. It also operates an application services division that provides internal application development and software procurement assistance to the county agencies. The division maintains a staff of more than 40 people. It supports over 100 application systems, such as vendor-developed systems and Web-based applications. The division provides the documentation of policies, procedures and project listings. The county government manages aviation, economic, public works, transportation, and finance and administrative services departments.
