Founded in 1967, Bradford Marine made a far-sighted choice when it installed a 300-ton Synchrolift. The machinery was considered to be far larger than business demanded, but starting with the 130-foot Fontainebleau II in 1967, the yard has hauled out hundreds of the world's largest yachts. The yard is one of the world's largest undercover yacht repair facilities. The covered slips can accommodate vessels up to 180 feet long and 45 feet in height. It has a total of 11,000 linear feet of slips and service bays for repairs and long-term covered storage. In the mid-1990s, Bradford Marine opened a satellite facility in the Bahamas. It is a deep-water yard that offers the same services as Bradford Marine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
