Arnette House seeks to protect the public by preventing juvenile delinquency and child abuse through the strengthening of youth and families in communities. The organization works under the philosophy that everyone deserves a helping hand in a time of need. It provides most services free of charge, making it possible to include those who cannot obtain services elsewhere for economic reasons. Arnette House focuses on prevention services to divert youths and families from state intervention, lessening the burden already placed on the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Corrections. The agency provides residential programs, emergency shelter, transitional living programs, youth development programs, food services, counseling, and education and recreation. It is located in Ocala, Fla.
