Animal and Care Control, located in West Palm Beach, Fla., is a division of the Public Safety Department of the Palm Beach County. Established in 1969, the division is accredited by the Humane Society of the United States. It is responsible for the enforcement of laws and rules governing animal care and protection. Additionally, it conducts educational programs to provide pet owners training and education for understanding animal behavior and taking proper care of their pets. Animal and Care Control division also offers online information about the rules and procedures of pet adoption. It has a lost and found section responsible for searching lost pets and registering the complaints of pet owners for their lost pets. Animal and Care Control division additionally operates various programs for providing rabies vaccinations and to protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and the residents of the Palm Beach County.
