A.F.I.R.E of Pasco operates a non profit, non-denominational day training program for developmentally disabled adults over 22 years of age. This is a five-day-a-week program to reinforce the many activities of daily living and skills needed to experience life more independently in their community.
The participants are taught academics, personal hygiene, life skills, social skills and specialized social activities are scheduled such as bowling, dances, picnics, camping and other out trips. The program offers assistance and encouragement to qualified individuals with acquiring entry-level jobs through alliances with small businesses in Pasco County.
