Keystone Heights is a city located in both Bradford County and Clay County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,349 at the 2000 census, all of it in the Clay County (eastern) section, although over 40 percent of the city's area (the western section of the city) lies in Bradford County. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 1,392 .
Named after the state of Pennsylvania, the "Keystone State".
Founded by Pennsylvanians who named it after their home state, residents began relocating here in the early 1920s. The city was chartered in April, 1925.
