Doula support may include - Answering questions regarding infant feeding, sleep, and other concerns - Hands on help with your newborn baby, twins, or triplets which you rest, shower, or run an errand - Breastfeeding and breast pumping support and education - Assistance with cooking, baby laundry, tidying the nursery, and basic household help Doulas can offer care during the day, at night, or for 24 hour periods. Every doula we work with is trained in newborn care, care for the postpartum family, infant and adult CPR, first aid, and often more. While doulas are becoming more widely used, and the term more well-known, they are also often referred to as baby nurses, night nurses, night nannies, or newborn care specialists.
