NASA, the National Aeronautical and Space Administration, is an aerospace and explorations division of the United States government. NASA is responsible for scientific and technological development in aerospace exploration and related technologies, even marketing some of its resources and technology to the private sector. The organization holds several centers and offices, including the John F. Kennedy Space Center, the launch site of many exploration projects. The organization was founded in 1958.
