The Center for a New American Dream has been operational since 1997. The center helps Americans to protect environment, enhance the quality of life and promote social justice. It works with various institutions, communities and businesses to conserve natural resources. The Center for a New American Dream conducts several Carbon Conscious Consumer campaigns that help individuals to establish climate-friendly habits. The center works with Responsible Purchasing Network, which through a staff of more than 120 members provides technical assistance and coordination services. It additionally organizes the Turn the Tide Program. The Center for a New American Dream is located in Takoma Park, Md.
