Founded in 1998, Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School serves more than 250 students in kindergarten through grade six in the District of Columbia. The school offers a two-way language immersion program in French and English or Spanish and English. Its academic curriculum includes art, math, science, and health and physical education. Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School is accredited by the Middle States Association. It provides a model program for after-school enrichment activities, including special tutoring services and journalism, science and book clubs. The school has been a winner of the Do Something National Kindness and Justice Campaign for more than five years consecutively.
