Jewish Community Center offers support for Jewish immigrants and has more than 350 camps throughout the United States, including one in Wilmington, Del. It offers a wide range of services, including educational, cultural, social, Jewish identity building and recreational programs to enhance the lives of North American Jews of all ages and backgrounds. It is operated by JCC Association, which is the United States government accredited agency for serving the religious and social needs of Jewish military personnel, families and patients in hospitals through the Jewish Chaplains Council. The association was founded in 1854, and has various departments, such as adults, sports and wellness, childhood education, professional development services and community services.
