The Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation is a unit of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. The division is comprised of cultural and recreational service, planning, preservation and development, and operation and maintenance sections. It operates and maintains more than 10 state parks and greenways throughout Dover, Del. The division ensures land protection and greenway programs. The Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation also provides recreational activities and educational and interpretive programs for individuals. The division s services include acquiring and developing land and facilities, providing natural areas and planning for statewide needs. It offers boating, camping, hiking, biking, walking, horse riding, hunting and swimming activities.
