Founded in 1912, Delaware Art Museum is located in Wilmington, Del. It has a wide range of collections of more than 12,000 works of art on American art, illustration, paintings and manuscripts from the 19th to 21st century. It also has the English Pre-Raphaelite art of the mid-19th century. The museum has collections of various artists, such as Howard Pyle, Sloan, Deborah Butterfield, Maxfield Parrish, Georgia O'Keefe, N.C. Wyeth, George Rickey and Dale Chihuly. It also has a sculpture park, a Persian window area, a miniature studio with three-dimensional dioramas and an auditorium. Delaware Art Museum organizes various events, including tours of the museum, temporary and major exhibitions and art courses. It also has a store offering a variety of gift items, such as jewelry, books, vases, textiles and collection of art glass.
