The Windsor Police Department, located in Windsor, Conn., is a law enforcement agency that preserves human lives and property, protects public peace and the rights of citizens, and prevents crime and disorder. It employs a staff of more than 65 full-time sworn officers, civilians and community volunteers. The Windsor Police Department supports the Explorer Program, which provides law enforcement training to students between the ages of 14 and 21. The department also undertakes cases related to domestic violence, missing persons, noise checks, and accident reporting and crime investigation. In addition, the Windsor Police Department handles issues related to home burglary, assault, stolen vehicles, and child and senior citizen abuse.
