Vohana Salon opened in February 2009 by owner Shelly VanOverloop. As a child Shelly came to this very location for her own hair needs, dreaming one day to own it herself. Now, twenty years in the business, ten of them owning Vohana Salon, she's loving her job and looks forward to continuing in the salon and beauty biz for years to come.

Fantasia Salon

There are a handful of exclusive salons in the Mystic area and this is one of them. Fantasia specializes in customized color and it is one of the few salons in the Mystic area that does hair extensions. The salon also offers facial waxing and manis and pedis with natural nails. The decor is comfortably elegant and the view from the salon--looking out at the Mystic River--is one of the best you will find. Although the salon has been around for more than 25 years, Shelly Van Overloop has been the owner for just a few of those years. You can find the salon on Facebook.
