The Gilbert School
Founded in 1895, The Gilbert School offers academic programs to students in grades nine through 12. It is a comprehensive, independent and regional high school located in Winsted, Conn. It provides lessons in subjects, such as business, English, family and consumer science, math, music, science, social studies, technology education, wellness and world languages. The school has a career center that offers services, such as career interest assessments, career and educational planning, local scholarships, portfolio development and apprenticeships. It has a library that offers a wide range of internet resources, books, magazines and newspapers. The Gilbert School offers a wide range of athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field.
