Founded in 1954, Temple Sinai serves over 350 families in the North Stamford area and is dedicated to the principles of Reform Judaism. Temple Sinai held its first Sabbath service on Feb. 5, which 150 people attended. For the first five months of its existence, it shared a building with St. John's Parish on Grove St, moving to its new home on Lakeside Drive a few years later. In addition to worship services, Temple Sinai offers Hebrew and Kulanu schools as well as adult education classes and interfaith programs. It also organizes various community events and social action projects.
