Suffield Historical Society is a group of more than 250 members who meet for lectures, historical education and entertainment and other programs. The public is invited to meetings at the Kent Memorial Library on the third Wednesday of the month September to November and March to June. Suffield Historical Society also operates the King House Museum, which is free to members free and open to the public for a small fee on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from May through September. In addition to welcoming new members, The Historical Society offers opportunities to volunteer as a museum docent or as an occasional helper during special events.
