The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining Stonington's financial records, compiling its budget and accounting for its money. It operates under Maryanna Stevens, director of finance.
The department oversees the assessment of property, collection of taxes and investment of town funds. It also provides administrative support to the town's board of finance and coordinates town employee payroll.
Finance department meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm in the Stonington Police Department community room.
