The State Street Cemetery, located at 2125 State Street in Hamden, CT, is a historic burial ground that was relocated to its current site in 1855. With its oldest grave dating back to 1784, the cemetery has been known by various names over the years, including East Farms Cemetery at Potter Town and The South Side Cemetery.
Unfortunately, due to the disbandment of The State Street Cemetery Association, Incorporated, the cemetery has fallen into neglect. In an effort to restore perpetual care for this sacred site and honor those laid to rest here, The Friends of the State Street Cemetery have launched a campaign to reestablish the association and welcome contributions of time and funds to support their cause.
