The State of Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station is a state agency that researches and supports agriculture in the community. Located in Windsor, the station is a substation of the headquarters in New Haven, which pre-dates the University of Connecticut's agricultural endeavors. The station's scientists work in a variety of agricultural fields, including entomology, plant pathology, weed research and diagnostics. Upon request, the station's scientists will also assist farmers and private homeowners with problems with their crops or plants.
