Located in the the former Brownson House, the Shelton History Center is dedicated to preserving the town's history through education, promotion and maintaining a museum. In addition to the Brownson House, the center currently consists of the 19th century Wilson Barn, a carriage barn, the one-room Trap Fall School and an outhouse. The center offers programs for school group tours and other community events. A calendar of upcoming events is available on the website.
