History
Perspectives Center for Care, Inc. (PCC) is a non-profit organization located in Cheshire town, New Haven County of Connecticut. The Center is dedicated to the mental well-being of individuals, children and families in the communities of Meriden, Waterbury, Bristol, Danbury and surrounding areas. PCC was originally established in 2005 as a for-profit counseling business, Perspectives Counseling Center, by Amy Korte of Cheshire, Connecticut. In 2015 November it was converted into a non-profit organization by Amy who decided to extend her services to the medically and economically underserved population in these communities and surrounding areas. The Center is in the process of opening a mental health day treatment facility and psychiatric outpatient clinic to serve the needs of mental health patients including substance users, veterans and human trafficking victims.

We provide: * Individual, couples, and family counseling for relationship issues. * Parenting, depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, self-esteem, trauma, grief/loss, transitions, divorce, co-parenting, step and blended family issues. * Substance abuse, anger management, stress reduction, distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, co-occurring disorders. * Medication management and case management. * In addition offering groups and classes for the following: substance abuse management, anger management, grief, stress management, coping skills, support for the supporters, trauma focused CBT, symptom prevention and management, girls circle, boys council, divorce group, in step, cubs, re-lapse prevention, co-occurring disorders, insight and motivation to change, family support group, positive parenting program, and parent education program.
