Established in 1961, Northwest Catholic High School is a coeducational, college preparatory school. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is approved by the State of Connecticut. It offers classes from grades nine through 12 and has an enrollment of more than 600 students. The school also has several workstations in science labs, library, art studio, guidance office and publications room. It offers honors program in English, math, science, social studies, language and religion. It also offers advanced-placement courses in computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, French, Latin, Spanish and studio art. Located in West Hartford, Conn., Northwest Catholic High School is a member of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and encourages athletic programs in freshman, junior varsity and varsity levels.
