Firm History Kemper Associates, Architects, LLC is an award-winning architectural firm. Kemper's team of talented design professionals have been designing fine homes and commercial properties throughout the New England area since 1986. Founding principal Jack Kemper has extensive experience in residential and commercial design and a strong interest in the history of "traditional" design. Both Jack and members of Kemper Associates design team bring to the firm a varied background of experience in residential and commercial design. Jack originally worked designing custom homes for developers in Texas in the early 80's. It was in these early projects that Jack first developed the "team approach" between builder and architect which we utilize in our work today Our work in Connecticut was originally concentrated in Devonwood, a 500-acre planned residential community located in Farmington. Kemper Associates have designed and completed approximately 100 custom homes in our Devonwood. The size of most houses averages approximately 4, 000 to 10, 000 square feet. Due to the success of our projects, we have expanded and completed numerous projects not only in the Hartford area, but also in Glastonbury, Somers, Stamford, Westport, Martha's Vineyard, and other parts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
