Located in Old Lyme, LEARN is a Regional Education Service Center that supports the 24 school districts and communities of Southeastern Connecticut. LEARN initiates, supports and provides a wide range of programs and services that enhance learning and expand opportunities for schools, students, families and a variety of community agencies.
LEARN services and programs include Services for Young Children and Families, various school-based services, special education services, professional development programming, technology training and services, grant-writing assistance, consulting and planning services, and a variety of collaborative efforts with federal, state and local agencies.
LEARN also functions as a region-wide school district operating a variety of magnet schools including The Friendship School, the Regional Multicultural Magnet School, Dual Language & Arts Magnet Middle School, the Connecticut River Academy, the Marine Science Magnet High School, along with co-managing several magnet schools in the New London School District.
