The Knights of Columbus, a Catholic men's organization, was founded in 1882 in New Haven, Conn., to provide assistance to the members' families. Today, in addition to providing mutual aid to Knights' families, the group works to benefit the community through fundraisers and charitable works. Partnerships include Special Olympics, Coats for Kids, Food for Families, Habitat for Humanity and work with local charities.
The Unionville Knights of Columbus is located near the police department on New Britain Avenue. The property includes a volleyball net, a pavilion near the river and the hall, often rented for private functions.
