Hopkins Schools, located in New Haven, Conn., is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades seven through 12. The school provides various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, accounting, geography, American and world history, and health and physical education. It also offers elective classes in arts, fine, visual and performing arts, dance, music, reading and writing. The school also organizes athletic programs, including softball, tennis, swimming, wrestling, cross country, football, baseball and basketball. It organizes a variety of summer camps, adult and career education classes, noncredit academic review courses, and enrichment and learning skill classes. Its library has a collection of more than 21,000 books, records, videos, CDs and audiotapes. It additionally has digital resources, including online library catalogs and offers subscription services for magazines, newspapers and reference materials.
