Founded in 2007, the Girl Scouts of Connecticut is one of the largest organizations in Connecticut. It serves more than 64,000 women and girls. The organization offers healthy living, financial literacy and environmental education programs. The Girl Scouts of Connecticut also provides the Beyond Bars program. It conducts summer camps and horseback riding, nature exploration, swimming, boating and drama activities. In addition, the organization offers various volunteer and membership opportunities. The Girl Scouts of Connecticut serves girls in kindergarten through grade 12. It also operates over eight service centers. The organization provides leadership development and outdoor programs.
