Moodus Sportsmen's Club is a hunting, fishing and trapping volunteer organization based in Moodus, Conn. The organization is an active participant in civil and community events. The organization is dedicated to bringing together those with the love of hunting, fishing and other activities of the like. The organization works to ensure these activities remain an active pastime through education and conservation efforts. Each year, the organization hosts public events. These events include a winter tri-lakes ice-fishing tournament, an Earth Day roadside clean-up, a youth fishing derby, an annual shad bake, a prime rib and shrimp dinner, game dinners held during the winter season. The organization also hosts firearm safety classes during various times of the year.
