Naugatuck Valley Community College
Established in 1962, Naugatuck Valley Community College is a public, two-year, associate degree granting, co-educational, nonresidential college. Located in Waterbury, Conn., it offers degrees in a wide range of academic fields, including radiologic technology, communications, literature, philosophy, psychology, marketing, automated manufacturing engineering, math and aviation science. Additionally, the college offers several noncredit programs in subjects that include nursing continuing education, emergency medical technician, computer training, business and industry training, and health and fitness. Naugatuck Valley Community College offers several student services, including cooperative education, career services, English as a second language programs, veteran s affairs, services for minority students, industry training seminars, and programs for students with physical and learning disabilities. The college also offers students financial aid in the form of grants, loans and scholarships. Naugatuck Valley Community College is approved by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and Connecticut Board of Governors for Higher Education.
