The 350 members of the Clinton Historical Society and its leadership board are a dedicated group of volunteers who wish to preserve and share the many historical facts, buildings, areas, and stories of the town. It maintains several important structures and collections including the 1750 Elisha White House (the Old Brick); the Buell Tool Museum; the George Flynn Library; and the Museum Room at Clinton Town Hall. It holds many annual events including a Memorial Day plant and bake sale; Halloween Ghost Walk; Christmas in Clinton; and their annual Potluck meeting. It also conducts many educational opportunities for the public and for nearby Abraham Pierson School students.
The George Flynn Library is open every Wednesday from 9am to noon.
The Museum Room at Town Hall is open every Thursday, from 5pm-7 pm.
