Peter started ballroom dancing over eight years ago as a student of the Arthur Murray Niantic Studio. After only a year of lessons and competing, he left his career in culinary arts to pursue becoming a professional ballroom dance instructor. He taught in the Niantic studio for about seven years, receiving numerous awards and acknowledgements from Arthur Murray International. Bringing his students to events in Washington D.C., Boston, New York & Las Vegas, he helped many students win Top Student and Top Solo awards over the years. Dancing has played a major role in Mary Jacq's life for more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has performed in and choreographed numerous ballets and musicals, adding to her extensive knowledge of dance and dance performance. She studied several styles of dance at the Hartt School of Music and Dance and earned two Bachelor's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Dance and Kinesiology. During her college years, she also had the opportunity to participate in an internship at Walt Disney World where she worked in the Entertainment Department performing in many different roles across the parks. After college, she earned her license in Massage Therapy, continuing her understanding of movement. Now that she has entered the ballroom world, she is excited to share all of the knowledge she has gained pertaining to dance and movement that she has acquired throughout the years. Dancing is her passion and she is excited to share that passionate spirit with all who come to the Guilford studio!
