History
The story of the Flying Moon property starts in the 1930s, when Vera and Edgar Scott purchased the old mining plots that lined the canyon. By the time Vera built the Flying Moon Cabins in 1951, she had already honed her woodworking skills and thoughtful eye for design that is still shown in the craftsmanship of these cabins. Once completed, they were named Call of the Canyon Cabins and operated as nightly rentals for more than 70 years. Many have owned and loved these cabins, and we are honored to renew, refresh and reintroduce this incredible vintage vacation spot to our guests. Lindsay and Alex Dalton, like Vera and Edgar before them, fell in love with this land and are excited to offer you what has always been offered here -- a place to forget your worries and remember what's really important.
