Mountain Vista High School
Mountain Vista High School is a secondary school serving students from grades nine through 12. The school s mascot is the Golden Eagle and has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students. It provides classes in art, social studies, business and technology, math, English, physical education, foreign languages and science. The school offers a full range of clubs and activities, including choir, band, orchestra, drama, student government, speech and debate, yearbook and newspaper. Its Stage Flight Theater Company has performed several plays and musicals, including Much Ado About Nothing, Harvey, Picnic, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Pippin and Music Man. The school has athletic teams for various sports, including cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, hockey, volleyball, basketball, swimming, wrestling and cheerleading. Mountain Vista High School is a part of Douglas County School District and is located in Highlands Ranch, Colo. It also offers advanced placement courses.
