HistoryPlatteForum is an award-winning community arts center, artist-in-residence and youth-development program that matches underserved youth with master artists in intensive, structured, and long-term creative learning environments. Our work is grounded in a belief that the creative process nurtures discovery, self-expression, development and growth, and each program is built upon the interconnection of the creative process and three vital elements: youth, artists, and community. Through PlatteForum's programs that engage, educate, and enrich both youth and adults in our community, artists take their work to the next level, youth gain a sense of pride by learning what they can accomplish, and community grows richer from the expansion of the arts and contribution of youth as they build productive lives.
