The Sewall Child Development Center is a nonprofit organization that serves children with special needs due to economic disadvantage, disabilities and developmental delays. Established in 1944, the center provides behavioral assessment and intervention services. It offers family counseling services for children with social emotional problems. The Sewall Child Development Center also provides therapeutic intervention services for more than 300 children through the Head Start program. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It works in partnership with the Denver Preschool Program, Autism Society of Colorado, and Parent to Parent of Colorado. In addition, the center offers integrated developmental preschool and early childhood care and education programs. The Sewall Child Development Center serves over 2,500 children and families yearly.
