Mesa Development Services has been operational for more than 25 years. A private nonprofit organization, MDS is one of the leading providers of human services in the United States. The agency serves more than 500 people annually and employs over 100 personnel. It coordinates, develops and provides a range of community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities, including mental illnesses, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, head trauma and other neurological conditions. Located in Grand Junction, Colo., Mesa Development Services provides educational programs, lifeskills, job and vocational training, individual, group and family counseling, case and medication management, outpatient rehabilitation and community development services. Additionally, the agency offers transitional services, temporary housing, addiction treatments, and treatments for individuals with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities.
