Assistance League Pueblo
Assistance League Bargain Box is a thrift store that is operated by the Assistance League of Pueblo, a chapter of the national Assistance League. Assistance League is a nonprofit organization of volunteers committed to serving community needs, and the proceeds from the Bargain Box go to funding its initiatives, which include scholarships, clothing drives and book drives. Assistance League was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the Western United States to utilize volunteers to help those less fortunate. With approximately 24,000 members in 115 chapters throughout the country, Assistance League volunteers work more than 2 million hours each year to address the emotional and physical needs of children and adults of all ages through philanthropic projects. The organization was founded in 1894.
