Peak Form Physical Therapy LLC, Boulder, CO was founded in August 2003 by physical therapist Jeanette Hrubes and the grand opening of the Peak Form Physical Therapy clinic was in November 2003. After nearly three years in business, Peak Form is a bustling Physical Therapy clinic with a large referral network and loyal clientele. Jeanette originally hails from lovely British Columbia, Canada. She made her way to the United States on a gymnastic Collegiate Athletic Scholarship, attending the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She earned her Physical Therapy Degree in 1994 and remained in Gainesville, Florida; working as the senior physical therapist in a bustling orthopedic/sports medicine clinic. She was eventually drawn back to the Rocky Mountains, moving to Boulder in 2002. She then opened her own patient-focused physical therapy clinic a year later. Although she has retired from competitive gymnastics, she is still faithful to the active lifestyle,getting her fix through many outdoor activities including; Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, mountain biking, rock climbing and grueling adventure races. Best of all, Jeanette is the proud parent to a little athlete in training. Dr. Jill Gum is a licensed physical therapist, certified athletic trainer (ATC) and certified strength & conditioning specialist (CSCS). She graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2007 and has also earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2003 from Creighton University located in Omaha, NE. Her focus in physical therapy lies in combining therapeutic exercise and patient education with manual physical therapy to provide effective rehabilitation interventions. Dr. Gum also specializes in aquatic physical therapy and utilizes the pool at the Brighton Recreational Center as an effective compliment to her therapy regimens. Dr. Gum enjoys treating patients of all ages for orthopedic, sports, and work injury rehabilitation. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska (and no she is not a Husker fan!), she moved to Colorado to attend physical therapy school. She enjoys spending her free time with the men in her life, her husband, Ryan, who is also a physical therapist & their dog, a Weimaraner named Brutus. They love cooking Italian food, watching movies, skiing and hiking in the Rockies, and traveling! Dr. Gum is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Athletic Trainers Association, & National Strength & Conditioning Association. Kim recently moved to Brighton from Memphis, TN. In high school she competed in cross country, track, soccer and swimming. She attended Harding University in Arkansas for her undergraduate degree and earned her BS in Exercise Science. A knee injury prevented her from competing in college, but her love for sports and her interest in the human body and how it works helped her develop her love for the field of physical therapy. Kim then attended the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, skiing and exploring Colorado. She also enjoys training for the occasional triathlon or adventure race. Her other hobbies include cooking, baking, and creating new dishes for her friends and family to enjoy. Stacia is a 1988 graduate of the Boulder School of Massage Therapy and has extensive injury rehabilitation experience. She has a dynamic continuing education resume which focuses on treatment-oriented massage modalities, including a certification in neuromuscular therapy. She has also taken multiple other trainings with content varying from body-centered psychotherapy to leadership. She is also a recent graduate of the Biology Department of CU Boulder where she focused on human physiology.
