History
Orville's is here today to bring great food, drink, and service to a beautiful spot in the mountains. The property used to be a part of the Sloan and then Currie Ranch (you can still see mention of their LOX brand in the brickwork on a nearby house). The building the restaurant is in began as a pole barn and was used at various times as a machine shop and a birthing barn for animals. Later, it gained a bar and became a local cowboy bar, since then, it's been a restaurant under the name of Snow-Cap Stables, Cottonwood Hollow, and later Western Ridge. The restaurant building itself was instrumental in the foundation of Glacier View Meadows as the real estate office that was once there was where many of those initial real estate transactions occurred. Orville's is named after a grandfather of one of the owners - who lived for decades up the road in Red Feather Lakes.
