History
New Saigon Bakery and Deli is a family owned business that focuses on Vietnamese food. They specialize in Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi), as well as desserts and street-style Vietnamese food. The family business started with New Saigon Restaurant that was established jn 1987. New Saigon Restaurant was owned by Thai Nguyen and Ha Pham. Their story is among many other stories of refugees fleeing the war in Vietnam. Their restaurant became one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Denver, Colorado. To them,the American dream was achieved. In 2012, New Saigon Bakery and Deli opened next door to the restaurant, managed by Thai and Ha's daughters and son in laws. Under the same family management, New Saigon Bakery and Deli, also strives to share their culture through Vietnamese food. The New Saigon family hopes to open new doors and continue growing their bakery and deli business as they close the doors to their restaurant which was sold in April of 2017.
