History
Marvin Sanders first opened Merchants Salvage Company in 1940 at its original location on 1405 Larimer Street. In 1961, he purchased the Bob Jones Skyland Ford building, located at the intersection of Broadway, Arapahoe, and Park Avenue West (23rd Street at the time). Richard Sanders, his son, came to work for Marvin in 1970, shortly after graduating from college. He has successfully run the company from this same location for 39 years. Jynx Sanders, Richard's daughter and Marvin's granddaughter joined Merchants Office Furniture in January 2008. After two years, she established herself as the 51% majority owner. It continues to be their goal to make Merchants' unique, affordable selection of new and used office furniture known to a larger demographic of customers that increasingly demand higher quality. They also strive to provide more businesses with a furniture layout that reflects the style of their business and helps them to catalyze their growth potential.
