Southwest Colorado Mental Health Center, established in 1960, is a private, nonprofit corporation that provides mental health services to people of all ages. It provides various health care services, such as clinical, emergency, day treatment, case management, residential and vocational services. It also offers various other services, such as medical, substance abuse counseling and treatment, and youth and family support services. Its outpatient therapy services include counseling, diagnosis and treatment of various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, obsessive and compulsive disorders, trauma and various behavioral issues for children and adolescents. The center also provides treatment for grief issues and family stress problems. It accepts private insurance and Medicaid plans. The corporation has various facilities, including Durango Counseling Cente, Cortez Counseling Center, Pagosa Springs Counseling Center, New Day Counseling Center and Detox Center.
