The Limon Heritage Museum & Railroad Park is a 5-acre complex with a Train Depot constructed in 1910, along with 3 railcars, including a caboose and dining car. Also on the property is a one-room schoolhouse built in 1894. Antique windmills and vintage farm equipment are scattered throughout the property. An exhibit building houses more historical displays, including the Prairie Voices exhibit. Firmly grounded in its pioneer roots, there is something for everyone, whether your interests are railroads, ranching, cowboys, Native American history, farming, pioneering, and the Dust Bowl. The museum’s operating season is Memorial Day through Labor Day with hours of 10am - 4pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays; 1 to 4pm on Sundays. We are closed on Wednesdays.
