Larimer County Health Department in Fort Collins, Colo., provides services to positively affect the health of Larimer County residents. A department of the Larimer County government, the health services division promotes the health and well-being of county residents through a variety of health care services, including clinics, home visits, health screenings and educational programs. The environmental health division is concerned with controlling environmental conditions, both natural and man-made, to protect human health and well-being. Established in 1968 in accordance with State Statutes, the Larimer County Department of Health & Environment is operated by a five-member Board of Health. Each member of the board is appointed by the Larimer County Board of Commissioners and serve staggered five-year terms.
