Jessica Galant-Swafford, MD, is an allergist and immunologist at National Jewish Health. Dr. Galant-Swafford is in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Galant-Swafford cares for patients with allergic diseases, asthma, and complex immune system disorders. She utilizes the latest clinical tools to help diagnose and treat patients with immunodeficiency and immune dysregulation. Her research focuses on the inflammatory and autoimmune complications of primary immunodeficiency including chronic lung and gastrointestinal disease. She specializes in the care of patients with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) and patients with secondary immunodeficiencies such as those caused by cancer and immunosuppressive therapy. By studying the interplay of human genetics and the microbiome, she hopes to predict complications and personalize therapies for these conditions. As Clinical Director of the new Immunodeficiency-Immune Dysregulation Program at National Jewish Health, Dr. Galant-Swafford will be developing a coordinated, interdisciplinary approach to improving the quality of life for complex immunology patients.
