Intrepid Potash is one of the largest producers of potash or potassium chloride in the United States. In addition, it produces three byproducts that include solar salt, magnesium chloride brine and sulfate of potash magnesia. Intrepid Potash operates two production facilities in Utah and three in New Mexico. Its subsidiaries include Intrepid Potash - Moab, Intrepid Potash Wendover and Intrepid Potash - New Mexico that has a staff of approximately 745 people. The company is a member of the International Plant Nutrition Institute, National Mining Association, Colorado Mining Association, Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States, Texas Agriculture Industries Association, New Mexico Mining Association, Utah Mining Association and Solution Mining Research Institute.
