After several months of analysis and study, the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District Board of Directors approved a capital project to renovate the existing Clubhouse at the Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. The renovation project includes the demolition of the existing racquetball courts, renovation of the existing golf shop and restroom areas and demolition and reconstruction of the restaurant and banquet facility. The Clubhouse will be attractive, functional and extremely engery efficient. New features will include substantial beams and soaring ceilings, expansive windows overlooking the beautiful golf course and landscaping, attractive exterior rock work, a large covered patio and gorgeous interior fireplace. Construction will begin in October and is expected to be complete by May of 2012, weather permitting. The Golf Courses remains open during the construction period.
Specialties
Teaching professionals at the Golf Courses at Hyland Hills provide individual and group lessons to benefit golfers of any level. Beginning players will learn the fundamentals of a golf swing, pitching, chipping, putting techniques, basic rules and etiquette. Advanced players can improve their games by refining swing mechanics and fine-tuning their short game, bunker play and course management. The Golf Courses at Hyland Hills provide one of the premier practice facilities in the State. Golfers participating in the lesson program receive instruction in our private lesson area. This quiet setting provides a relaxed atmosphere without distraction, emphasizing a one-on-one focus with the instructor. Golfers also have the option of instruction on the golf courses to experience real playing conditions. All students are able to use the practice putting and chipping greens.
