History
I started teaching piano before I received my PhD. I was teaching part-time and working at a cable TV company. Eventually the company merged with another and I was able to teach full time and I had around 40 students. I taught at a local music school in Massachusetts until last year when I moved to Virginia. My style of teaching is a mixture of the Soctratic method, critical thinking and programmed learning with the goal of discovering and applying aesthetic concepts. I teach classical, jazz, improv, theory, and composition. I like to produce solo recitals when I can.
